Hey y'all!

RSS

I have just read an article about getting into the film industry (keeping in mind I want to work behind the camera not in front of it) and it actually sounds really easy, well it’s difficult but easy.

Whatever.

Since no one has accepted my marriage proposal (fuck the lot of you, selfish bastards!), I am totes thinking about actually doing this. This guy said in his article that he had to take on a lot of work that didn’t pay and because out of all the people who volunteered, he was the only one left, so he was noticed. This led to promotion after promotion, okay the pay wasn’t great but he was working in an environment that he loved. This guy had no experience nor had he been to film school, but here he was.

I want to actually do this, plus you make a lot of good contacts. I could easily be an assistant to an assistant to an assistant director. I mean he was making it sound like it was slow and boring but to me it sounded like the best sort of adventure ever. Something different everyday.

Oh my God, I want to do this so bad. I love movies to pieces and watch at least one everyday, why shouldn’t I do this. Fuck, I am totally looking up jobs, voluntary or not. Hell I’d even stay in Wales if it meant I could work in the industry. Sorry oil industry, you probably pay well and all, but like I should do what I love and that’s movies. I have to work in something movie related. Anyone know where to start, I mean websites/job sites etc??
